Powdered sugar for cake
Description
Powdered sugar for baking is finely ground white sugar with a silky texture, intensely sweet flavor, and a matte finish that dissolves quickly on the tongue. Nutritionally, it is practically pure simple carbohydrate (about 387 kcal per 100 g), providing quick energy but lacking vitamins or minerals, which is why, as a dietitian, I recommend moderate use due to its high glycemic index and caloric value. In the kitchen, it works perfectly for dusting cakes, cookies, and pancakes, for preparing glazes, creams, meringues, and delicate toppings, as well as for sweetening whipped cream and creams. It should be stored tightly in a dry, cool place, in its original or airtight container, away from moisture and odors; adding a small amount of rice or using sugar containing an anti-caking agent will prevent clumping.
