Description
Dark chocolate 70% has an intense, distinctly cocoa flavor with a subtle bitterness and low sweetness; its surface is shiny, dark brown, and it produces a characteristic, clean snap when broken. Rich in cocoa solids, it offers aromas of dried cocoa, nutty notes, and slightly fruity tones in the finish. Nutritionally, it is a concentrated source of antioxidants and flavonoids, containing fiber, magnesium, iron, and healthy fats from cocoa butter; moderate consumption may support cardiovascular health and mood, although it is calorie-dense and contains some caffeine. In the kitchen, it works perfectly in baking, ganache, sauces, decorations, glazes, and fondue, as well as in savory pairings, such as meat sauces or chili dishes.
