Liquid smoke
Description
Liquid smoke is a concentrated smoke extract, with a clear amber to dark brown color and an intense, warm smoky aroma with hints of wood (e.g., hickory, beech, or apple). It adds a powerful smoked depth without the need for hot smoking; just a drop or two is enough to achieve an authentic and balanced effect. Nutritionally, the product contributes virtually no calories, fats, proteins, or carbohydrates; its value lies mainly in the aromas and phenolic compounds, which in small amounts may exhibit antioxidant properties, but do not represent a significant source of nutrients. In the kitchen, it is used for meats, fish, sauces, marinades, soups, cheeses, and plant-based dishes when we want to achieve a smoky accent without actual smoking. The product should be stored tightly closed in a cool, dark place; once opened, it is advisable to keep it in the refrigerator and use it within the time indicated by the manufacturer.
