Purple gel food coloring

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Purple gel food coloring is a thick, shiny concentrate with an intense, saturated shade of purple, usually nearly tasteless or with a very subtle flavor corresponding to its base (sugar or water). As a product used in small amounts, it has virtually zero nutritional value and low calorie content; if it is based on natural extracts (anthocyanins from berries, beetroot), it may provide trace antioxidants, but in typical portions, the health benefits are marginal. In the kitchen, purple gel works perfectly for coloring creams, icings, buttercreams, meringues, cakes, ice creams, desserts, and beverages, allowing for an even, deep color without thinning the mixtures. It should be stored tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from light and heat sources; once opened, it is advisable to keep it in the refrigerator and use it within the time indicated on the packaging, using clean tools for dosing.
