Large chicken eggs
Description
Chicken eggs size L are a versatile product with a smooth shell in shades of white or brown and a typical weight of about 63–73 g. They have a delicate, slightly creamy taste due to the full yolk, the intensity of which depends on the hen's feed. Their texture is silky soft when boiled soft and firmer when fried or baked, making them an ingredient easy to combine with flavors. Nutritionally, L eggs provide high-quality protein, vitamins A, D, B12, folic acid, choline, and minerals such as iron and selenium; they also contain healthy fats and compounds beneficial for vision (lutein, zeaxanthin). They are suitable for cooking, frying, baking, preparing emulsified sauces, and desserts. Store them in their original carton in the refrigerator (4–8°C), point down, do not wash before storing, and use within 3–4 weeks; freshness can additionally be assessed with a float test.
