Description

Candied orange peel has an intense, sweet-bitter flavor with a distinct note of essential oils and a pleasant, chewy texture. It resembles shiny, translucent strips or cubes of deep orange color, often lightly dusted with sugar. Nutritionally, it mainly consists of carbohydrates and sugars, providing energy; it contains small amounts of fiber, vitamin C, and phytochemicals such as flavonoids and essential oils, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
