Pieprz biały mielony
Description
White pepper powder is a delicate, creamy-beige powder obtained from ripe pepper berries that have been stripped of their outer skin. It has a milder, slightly earthy and spicy flavor compared to black pepper, with a subtle hint of fermentation and less visibility of black specks in dishes. From a dietary perspective, it contains few calories, trace amounts of minerals and fiber, and primarily the compound piperine, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, may aid digestion, and increase the bioavailability of certain nutrients; it should be used in moderation due to its spiciness. In the kitchen, white pepper pairs well with light sauces, soups, creams, fish, poultry, mashed potatoes, and Asian dishes where dark specks are undesirable. It should be stored in an airtight, opaque container in a dry, cool, and shaded place; whole peppercorns retain their aroma much longer, while ground pepper is best used within a few months.
