Description
Wheat flour type 00 or 450 is very finely milled, with a light, almost snowy color and a neutral, slightly sweet taste, which means it does not overpower other ingredients. Its delicate structure and relatively lower protein content make it ideal for baking that requires a soft, crumbly, or fluffy texture, such as cakes, cookies, sponge cakes, delicate breads, pasta, and Italian pizza type "00". Nutritionally, it is a source of carbohydrates with a small amount of protein and fat, as well as some B vitamins and minerals, but it contains little fiber and fewer trace elements than whole grain flours, so it is worth combining it with products richer in fiber.
