Fresh or frozen raspberries
Description
Fresh or frozen raspberries are aromatic fruits with an intense red color, delicate, crumbly texture, and a balanced sweet-tart flavor with a subtle floral note. Fresh fruits have juicy, easily disintegrating drupelets, while frozen ones retain their aroma and structure after thawing, although they may be slightly softer. They are low in calories, rich in fiber, vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants (including anthocyanins), which support immunity, vascular health, and anti-inflammatory processes, as well as positively influence digestion and blood glucose regulation. In the kitchen, they are suitable for desserts, cocktails, jams, baked goods, salads, sauces for meats and cheeses, and as an addition to yogurt, oatmeal, and chocolate. Store fresh raspberries unwashed in the refrigerator on a paper towel in a flat container for up to 2–3 days; frozen ones should be kept in an airtight container for 6–12 months and thawed carefully or used without thawing in recipes.
