Ground turkey
Description
Ground turkey has a delicate, slightly sweet flavor and a uniform pink-beige color; the texture is smooth and elastic, making it easy to shape into patties, meatballs, or fillings. It is versatile in the kitchen and pairs well with dishes such as Bolognese sauces, stuffed peppers, casseroles, burgers, as well as light meatballs and tacos, and it combines well with herbs, lemon, and spicier seasonings. As a source of lean protein, it provides B vitamins, selenium, and zinc with relatively low saturated fat content, which supports muscle recovery and weight management. Store raw ground meat in the refrigerator for 1–2 days or freeze for 3–4 months, thaw in the refrigerator, and cooked meat can be stored for 3–4 days.
