Raw cashews
Description
Raw cashews have a delicate, buttery-sweet flavor and a creamy texture; their shape resembles a kidney, and their color ranges from cream to light beige, with a smooth, slightly crunchy structure in their raw form. They are rich in monounsaturated fats, plant protein, and minerals such as magnesium, copper, manganese, and phosphorus, as well as iron and B vitamins. Regular, moderate consumption supports heart health, bone metabolism, nerve functions, and energy production while providing antioxidants. In the kitchen, cashews work well as a snack, the base for creamy sauces, spreads, plant-based cheeses, and desserts, pairing excellently with salads, stir-fries, and bread. They should be stored tightly in a cool, dry place; for longer freshness, it's best to keep them in the refrigerator or freezer, away from strong odors, to prevent rancidity and moisture absorption.
