Chili powder
Description
Hot paprika powder is finely ground, intensely red spice with a distinct, spicy aroma and a sharp, sometimes slightly smoky note in flavor. It has low energy value but is rich in capsaicin, provitamin A, and vitamin C, as well as antioxidants that support metabolism, circulation, and exhibit anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties when consumed in moderation. In the kitchen, it perfectly enhances soups, sauces, stews, marinades, spice blends, and dishes with meat, vegetables, and eggs, adding heat without changing the consistency. To preserve its potency and aroma, store the powder in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture; it is best used within 6–12 months.
