Smoked paprika
Description
Smoked paprika is an aromatic powder with an intense red color and a smoky, slightly sweet flavor with earthy notes; it comes in mild and hot varieties, allowing you to adjust the spiciness of dishes. It has a pleasant, deep wood aroma that enhances both meats and vegetable dishes, giving them an appetizing color and character. Nutritionally, it contains vitamins A and C, antioxidants, and carotenoids that support vision, immunity, and have anti-inflammatory effects; hot varieties also provide capsaicin, which has a beneficial impact on metabolism. Smoked paprika pairs well with stews, goulashes, paella, marinades, sauces, eggs, and roasted vegetables, as well as being a component of dry spice blends. Store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from moisture and light; it retains optimal aroma for about 6–12 months.
