Mushroom powder

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Mushroom powder is finely ground dried mushroom with an intense, earthy, and deeply umami flavor, and a dark brown, almost powdery consistency. It adds a rich "meaty" aroma to dishes without using meat, enhancing the flavor of broths and sauces, and adding pleasant depth to plant-based dishes. Nutritionally, mushroom powder provides protein and fiber, as well as B vitamins, minerals such as potassium and selenium, and antioxidants; the polysaccharides contained in it (e.g., beta-glucans) may support immune mechanisms and overall micronutrient balance. In the kitchen, it is used to enhance soups, sauces, risottos, marinades, vegan dishes, and as an addition to spice blends. Store it in a sealed, dry, and dark container in a cool place, away from moisture and strong odors; it is best used within 6–12 months to maintain its aroma.
