Sea salt for the rim
Description
Sea salt for rims is a coarse, crunchy crystal with a bright white or slightly pearlescent color, intended for decorative and flavorful edging of glasses. Its taste is purely salty with a delicate marine note and subtle minerality that adds contrast to drinks and dishes without overwhelming the aromas. This ingredient is mainly sodium chloride with a small amount of trace minerals, virtually calorie-free; used in moderation, it supports electrolyte balance, but excess sodium can be harmful in cases of hypertension. It is most commonly used for the rims of margarita glasses, Bloody Marys, or Micheladas, as well as a finishing salt for seafood, grilled vegetables, and desserts that contrast sweet and salty. Store in an airtight container, in a dry and cool place, away from moisture and strong odors.
