Vegetable broth (water)
Description
Vegetable broth is a clear to slightly golden, sometimes greenish liquid with a delicate, vegetable aroma and a subtle sweet-salty umami note, depending on the ingredients used. It is low in calories, provides electrolytes and minerals such as potassium and magnesium, as well as water-soluble vitamins, and with regular use, it supports hydration, digestion, and replenishment of trace elements without burdening the body. In the kitchen, it serves as a versatile base for soups, sauces, risottos, cooking grains and vegetables, or for deglazing pans; it enhances the flavor of dishes without overpowering them. Once cooled, it should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days or frozen in portions for up to 3 months, preferably after cooling and labeling with the date.
