Ashwagandha powder
Description
Ashwagandha powder is a finely ground, light brown powder with a slightly earthy, spicy flavor and a hint of bitterness and nutty aftertaste; the texture is fine and dissolves well in liquids. In terms of nutritional value, it is primarily a source of fiber and carbohydrates, as well as bioactive compounds, mainly withanolides and alkaloids, which give it adaptogenic properties — supporting stress resistance, energy regulation, and improving sleep quality with moderate and regular use, without attributing specific medicinal effects. In the kitchen, ashwagandha pairs well with warm beverages, smoothies, protein shakes, milk drinks like "golden milk," oatmeal, as well as in baked goods and certain curry dishes, where it balances sweet and spicy compositions. It should be stored in a tightly sealed container, in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from moisture and strong odors; it is best used within 6–12 months of opening to maintain its aroma and properties.
