Bagietka pszenna
Description
Wheat baguette is a classic loaf with an elongated shape, a crispy, golden crust, and a soft, porous interior with a delicate, slightly sweet flavor of freshly baked bread. It pairs wonderfully with butter, cheeses, cold cuts, spreads, and serves as a base for sandwiches and bruschetta, as well as an accompaniment to soups and salads, enhancing both simple and more sophisticated dishes. Nutritionally, a baguette is primarily a source of quickly digestible carbohydrates (about 260–280 kcal per 100 g), with a moderate amount of protein and a low content of fiber, minerals, and B vitamins, depending on the flour used; it provides energy, but it is advisable to consume it in moderation and combine it with vegetables and protein for better satiety. It is best stored in a paper bag at room temperature for 1–2 days, avoiding plastic bags that soften the crust; for longer storage, freeze it and refresh it in the oven before serving.
