Ciasteczka amaretti

🌱 Vegetarian

Description

Amaretti cookies are Italian almond cookies with a distinct aroma of roasted almonds and a delicate, slightly bitter almond note (sometimes with the addition of apricot kernels). They are crunchy and slightly cracked on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, or completely crispy depending on the recipe. Their flavor is sweet-nutty, intense, and elegant, making them a recognizable element of desserts. Nutritionally, amaretti provide egg protein and healthy fats, as well as minerals typical of almonds, such as vitamin E, magnesium, and fiber; however, they contain a significant amount of sugar, so it is advisable to consume them in moderation. In the kitchen, they pair well with coffee, liqueurs, and cheeses, and they complement creams, ice creams, mascarpone, or can be used as a base for dessert crusts and crumbles. They should be stored in an airtight container in a dry place for 1–2 weeks, and in the freezer for up to 3 months, away from moisture.
