Filety śledziowe a'la matias
Description
Matias-style herring fillets are characterized by a delicate, slightly sweet and buttery flavor, as well as a soft yet firm texture; their color ranges from creamy to light beige, often with a subtle sheen of oil or mild marinade. They are aesthetically pleasing on the plate and easy to portion, making them an attractive element for snacks and salads. Nutritionally, they are a valuable product providing high-quality protein, essential omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins D and B12, and selenium, with a relatively low carbohydrate content; regular consumption supports heart health, cognitive functions, and has anti-inflammatory effects. The fillets pair well with bread, potatoes, salads, sandwiches with onions, dill, and sour cream, and serve as a base for spreads and appetizers. Store in a cool place in a tightly sealed container, preferably in the original marinade or oil; consume within a few days after opening. They can be frozen, but some texture may change.
