Strawberry jelly
Description
Strawberry jelly has an intense, sweet-and-sour flavor reminiscent of fresh strawberries, with a pleasant, transparent red color and a soft, elastic consistency that sways beautifully on the plate. In its ready-made version, it mainly consists of carbohydrates from sweeteners, with low protein and fat content; homemade jellies with added fruit juice provide some vitamin C and antioxidants, while those based on gelatin can be a source of collagen that supports joints and skin. Jelly works great as a dessert on its own, an ingredient in cakes, cupcakes, and tarts, a filling for cookies, a topping for ice cream, as well as an addition to yogurts and fruit salads, and a decorative element in drinks and cocktails. It should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container and consumed within a few days; powders and mixes are best kept in a cool, dry place, away from heat and moisture sources.
