Fresh raspberries (or mixed berries)
Description
Fresh raspberries (or mixed berries) have a delicate, sweet-tart flavor with floral notes and a soft, juicy texture. The distinct, red or darker berries create a striking, fluffy structure with an intense aroma that easily enhances a dish both visually and in taste. They are low in calories, rich in vitamin C, fiber, antioxidants (anthocyanins), and certain amounts of B vitamins and minerals such as manganese, which supports immunity, cardiovascular health, and proper digestion. In the kitchen, they pair well with desserts, yogurts, muesli, salads, smoothies, sauces for meats, and as an addition to baked goods and jams. To maintain freshness, store them in the refrigerator in a flat container lined with paper towels, do not wash before storing, and use within 2–3 days; for longer storage, freeze them spread out on a baking sheet, then transfer to bags.
