Real butter (min. 82% fat) has a creamy, light yellow color and a smooth, slightly buttery texture with a rich, slightly salty and milky aroma that enhances the flavor of dishes. As a concentrated source of energy, it primarily contains saturated and monounsaturated fats as well as fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin A; in moderate amounts, it aids in the absorption of other nutrients. It should be consumed in moderation, paying attention to the balance of fats in the diet.
