Description
The arugula and lamb's lettuce mix combines the bold, slightly peppery flavor of arugula with the delicate, buttery note of lamb's lettuce; the leaves are contrastingly green, with arugula having narrower, serrated leaves, while lamb's lettuce forms soft rosettes. Both salads are low in calories, rich in vitamins A, C, and K, folic acid, and minerals such as potassium and iron, as well as antioxidants and fiber that support digestion, immunity, and cardiovascular health. In the kitchen, the mix works well as a fresh base for salads, an addition to sandwiches, pizzas, and pastas, and pairs excellently with citrus dressings, cheeses (parmesan, goat), nuts, and olive oil. It is best stored unwashed, in the refrigerator in a container or bag with a paper towel to absorb moisture, and should be used within 3–5 days to maintain crispness.
