Coconut milk (full-fat)
Description
Coconut milk is thick and creamy with a pearly white color and a distinct sweet aroma of coconut; the taste is rich, slightly nutty, and naturally fatty, giving dishes a velvety texture. In the kitchen, it works perfectly in Thai curries, cream soups, sauces, desserts, cocktails, and baked goods, as well as a base for marinades and vegan creams, replacing dairy cream in both sweet and savory dishes. Nutritionally, it is calorie-dense and rich in saturated fats, including medium-chain fatty acids (e.g., lauric acid), which provide quick energy, but should be consumed in moderation, especially for those with cholesterol issues. The milk is naturally dairy-free and suitable for vegans and those with lactose intolerance, and it also contains small amounts of minerals. Store in a dry, cool place until the expiration date; once opened, keep in the refrigerator in an airtight container, stir before use, consume within 4–7 days, and it can also be portioned and frozen for longer storage.
