Rapeseed oil
Description
Rapeseed oil has a clear, golden-yellow color and a mild, almost neutral taste with a subtle, slightly nutty note, making it a versatile addition to dishes. It is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (mainly oleic acid), also contains beneficial proportions of polyunsaturated fats, including alpha-linolenic acid omega-3, and vitamin E, with relatively low saturated fat content, which promotes heart health and positively affects the lipid profile when consumed in moderation. In the kitchen, it is suitable for frying, baking, stewing, dressing salads, and preparing sauces and mayonnaise due to its neutral flavor and high smoke point in refined oil. Store in a cool, dark place in a tightly closed bottle; cold-pressed oils should be kept in the refrigerator and used within a shorter time to avoid rancidity.
