Pulp from ripe mango

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

The pulp of ripe mango has an intense sweet-sour flavor with tropical notes of peach and lemon, as well as a smooth, velvety texture and a deep golden-orange color that adds freshness and aroma to dishes. It is rich in vitamins A and C, potassium, fiber, and antioxidants, contributing to immune support, eye health, digestion regulation, and protection of cells from oxidative stress, while being relatively low in fat. In the kitchen, mango pulp works well in smoothies, sorbets, sauces, salsas, chutneys, dressings, marinades for chicken or fish, and as an addition to cheeses and fruit salads. For storage, it is best to keep the pulp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 days or portion it and freeze it in bags or ice cube trays, optionally adding a bit of lemon juice to preserve color and freshness.
