Description
Cottage cheese for cheesecake (fat) is a smooth, creamy mass with a light white color and a slightly grainy texture, with a full, slightly tangy and buttery flavor that adds exceptional richness to baked goods and fillings. Due to its high protein and calcium content, it is a valuable source of building blocks essential for bones and muscles, and it also provides energy from fat; however, it is advisable to consume it in moderation due to its increased saturated fat content. In the kitchen, it works excellently as a base for cheesecake, filling for dumplings, pancakes, and pâtés, for creams, sandwich spreads, and casseroles, as well as in sweet and savory dishes. Store in the refrigerator at a temperature of 0–4°C in the original packaging or an airtight container; after opening, it is best consumed within 3–5 days. It can be frozen for use in preserves, although the texture may change slightly after thawing.
