Salad potatoes (type A)
Description
Salad potatoes (type A) are a variety with smooth, thin skin and light yellow flesh, with a delicate, slightly sweet flavor and firm, waxy texture that holds its shape well after cooking. They are aesthetically pleasing and easy to cut, making them ideal for dishes where visual appeal and texture are important. Nutritionally, they mainly provide complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamin C, B vitamins, and potassium, with low fat content. They support satiety, proper blood pressure (thanks to potassium), and immunity (vitamin C). In the kitchen, they work excellently in potato salads, cold salads, salads with vinaigrette dressings, as well as for steaming, sautéing, or baking in pieces when we want to maintain the structure of the pieces. Store in a cool, dark, and ventilated place, not in the refrigerator, at a temperature of about 4–10°C, away from onions; do not wash before storage, remove sprouts and green parts.
