Prepare all the ingredients and tools: a blender (min. 1.5 l), a measuring cup or measuring jug, a knife, a cutting board, a citrus juicer, a strainer (optional), a serving jug, and glasses or bowls. Take the frozen fruits out of the freezer and set them on the counter for about 8-10 minutes to slightly thaw — they should not be completely soft, just enough to blend easily in the blender.
Description
The 'Fruit Explosion' cocktail is a refreshing, fruity drink with an intense sweet-and-sour flavor and creamy consistency. The combination of freshly squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice, ripe banana, natural yogurt, and a mix of berries creates a vitamin-rich, visually appealing drink with a deep red-orange color. Perfect as a non-alcoholic cocktail for New Year's Eve 2025 — it can be served in bowls, cocktail glasses, or as a base for a sparkling version with the addition of prosecco. It has a pleasant creaminess (thanks to the banana and yogurt), a distinct fruity acidity (lime, pineapple), and striking accents (frozen berries). Served chilled with ice cubes and mint leaves, it looks very impressive and works great as a party drink or a refreshing addition to the New Year's menu.

Preparation steps
Preparation of ingredients
Prepare the banana: peel it and cut it into slices about 1 cm thick. This will make it easier and quicker to blend the banana until smooth. Measure out natural yogurt (200 g) and set it aside in a bowl.
Mixing
First, add the frozen berries (200 g) to the blender, then add the banana slices (120 g), pour in the orange juice (600 ml) and pineapple juice (300 ml), add the yogurt (200 g) and lime juice (60 ml). Finally, add the ice (300 g). Thanks to this order: the heaviest ingredients at the bottom and the liquids on top, the blender will work more evenly.
Blend on high speed for 50-70 seconds until everything is smooth and there are no visible pieces of fruit. During blending, stop the blender after about 30 seconds and shake the jar to redistribute the ingredients, then continue blending.
Seasoning and sweetening
Taste the cocktail with a teaspoon. If the cocktail is too sour or not sweet enough for your taste, add 10 to 30 g of honey or sugar syrup (optional) and mix well — remember that prosecco (if added) will also soften the sweetness. If you want to keep it 100% vegan, use agave syrup instead of honey.
Optional sparkling version
If you want a sparkling version: carefully pour the finished cocktail into a large pitcher or directly into glasses in a ratio of 2:1 (cocktail : prosecco). For example, for one serving, pour about 150 ml of the cocktail and top up with 50 ml of cold prosecco to achieve a lightly sparkling, elegant consistency.
Serving and decoration
Prepare the glasses or bowls. Strain the cocktail from the blender through a sieve into a jug or directly into the containers to remove small seeds or larger pieces of fruit (optional). Decorate each glass with a sprig of fresh mint (1/6 of a bunch = about 5 g per glass) and a few whole berries on top.
Serving
Serve immediately after preparation, when the cocktail is cold and fresh. If you are preparing a larger quantity in advance, keep it covered in the refrigerator for a maximum of 2 hours and stir before serving. Always add the prosecco version at the very end just before serving.
Fun Fact
Fruit cocktails with sparkling wine became popular in the 20th century as a light alternative to heavier drinks — combining fresh juices and bubbles creates a stunning, festive beverage.

Tips
Serve the cocktail in chilled glasses; for a festive New Year's effect, add edible glitter sprinkles to the rim of the glass (optional). Serve the sparkling version without ice in champagne flutes, while the non-alcoholic version should be served in tall glasses with ice cubes.
Store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed pitcher for a maximum of 24 hours, but it's best to consume immediately. Do not add prosecco before storing — it will lose its fizz. When chilling again, gently stir before serving.
