Description
Natural yogurt is a creamy, white product with a slightly sour, fresh taste and smooth consistency; full-fat versions are creamier, while low-fat ones are lighter and somewhat thinner. As an addition, it works perfectly as a cooling contrast to spicy dishes, sauces, and soups, as well as a base for dips, dressings, desserts, and marinades. Nutritionally, it provides protein, calcium, B vitamins, and, in the case of yogurts with live cultures, beneficial probiotics that support the gut microbiome. The fat and calorie content depends on the variant, so you can choose an option according to dietary needs. Store in the refrigerator at around 4°C, tightly closed, and use within a few days of opening; freezing changes the texture, so it is best used cold or after a brief mixing.
