Raw shrimp, peeled, cleaned
Description
Raw, peeled, and cleaned shrimp have a delicate, slightly sweet taste of the sea and a soft, firm texture; when raw, they are translucent and grayish-white, and after cooking, they turn creamy-pink and opaque. They are a low-calorie source of lean protein with high biological value, containing valuable trace elements such as selenium, iodine, vitamin B12, and omega-3 fatty acids; regular consumption supports heart health and maintenance of muscle mass, although individuals with shellfish allergies should avoid them. In the kitchen, shrimp are suitable for fried, grilled, stewed dishes, pasta, salads, soups, and Asian stir-fries; they pair well with garlic, lemon, butter, olive oil, parsley, and spicy sauces. Store in the refrigerator at 0–2°C and use within 1–2 days or freeze quickly at −18°C (can be stored for several months), thaw in the refrigerator and do not refreeze after thawing.
