Frozen raspberries
Description
Frozen raspberries retain the intense, sweet-tart aroma of fresh fruit and a deep red, slightly matte color after freezing, often covered with a delicate frost. Their flesh is juicy, and the crunchy seeds give them a characteristic texture, causing them to quickly release juice once thawed. They are low in calories, rich in fiber, vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants (including ellagitannins), which support immunity, reduce inflammation, and positively affect digestion and lipid profiles. In the kitchen, they work perfectly in smoothies, sauces, desserts, baked goods, jams, or as an addition to oatmeal and fruit salads; they pair wonderfully with yogurt, chocolate, and citrus fruits. They should be stored in airtight containers at around −18°C, avoiding refreezing after thawing, and thawing should be done in the refrigerator or by adding them directly to dishes to preserve texture and flavor.
