0% Milk

🌱 Vegetarian 🥛 Contains lactose

Description

0% milk is skimmed, light white milk with a mild, somewhat watery taste and a subtle milky aroma. It has a light, thin consistency compared to whole milk, which affects the lesser impression of "creaminess." Nutritionally, it provides a low number of calories (about 30–40 kcal/100 ml), protein in the amount of about 3–3.5 g, carbohydrates mainly as lactose ~4.5–5 g, as well as valuable calcium and B vitamins; it is often fortified with vitamin D. It is beneficial for weight control and reducing saturated fat intake, supports bone health due to calcium, but has a lower content of fat-soluble vitamins. In the kitchen, it is suitable for breakfast cereals, coffee, soups, light sauces, smoothies, and baking, although it froths less well. Store in the refrigerator at a temperature of 0–4°C, consume within 3–4 days after opening, tightly sealed and away from strong odors; avoid repeated freezing, which worsens the texture.
