Papryczka jalapeno
Description
Jalapeño is a medium-sized pepper, usually 4–8 cm long, with a smooth skin, most often green, which turns red when ripe. It has a distinct, fresh flavor with a mild to moderate spicy finish — medium heat, typically 2,500–8,000 Scoville units — and a pleasant plant-like aroma. Jalapeño provides vitamins C, A, and K, as well as antioxidants and capsaicin, which may support metabolism, have anti-inflammatory effects, and relieve pain when applied topically. In the kitchen, it is suitable for salsas, guacamole, tacos, marinades, stuffing, and grilling; it pairs well with tomatoes, cilantro, lime, cheese, and meat. Store in the refrigerator in a perforated bag for up to 1–2 weeks; it can also be frozen, pickled, or dried for longer shelf life.
