Ser kozi twarogowy

🌱 Vegetarian

Description

Goat cheese has a creamy white color, a delicate, sometimes slightly grainy texture, and a distinctly tangy, milky flavor with a subtle, characteristic hint of goat fats. It is usually milder than aged goat cheeses and spreads easily or crumbles. Nutritionally, it provides valuable protein, calcium, and phosphorus, as well as B vitamins; it also contains medium fat and less lactose than cow's cheese, which often makes it easier to digest for sensitive individuals. Some varieties contain beneficial lactic acid bacteria that support gut microflora. In the kitchen, it works well as a base for spreads, cheeses, and fillings, an addition to salads, sandwiches, dumplings, and baked goods, as well as an ingredient in desserts with honey and fruits. It should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2–6°C, away from strongly scented products; it is best consumed within a few days of opening. It can be frozen for culinary purposes, although the texture may change.
