30% cream for frosting
Description
30% cream for frosting is a thick, creamy product with a velvety, light cream color and a subtly buttery flavor with a hint of sweetness, which gives desserts and sauces a silky texture and fullness of taste. Due to its fat content, it whips well, creating stable creams and ganache, and also emulsifies sauces and soup thickening nicely without overwhelming the composition of flavors. Nutritionally, cream is a concentrated source of energy and fats, also providing fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E) and minerals such as calcium and phosphorus; when consumed in moderation, it can increase the feeling of fullness and facilitate the absorption of certain nutrients. It is most commonly used for frostings, creams, sauces, desserts, cream soups, and coffee; it is advisable to chill both the cream and the bowl before whipping. It should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2–6°C, in its original packaging, and is best used within 3–5 days after opening; freezing is possible for culinary uses, but it may change the texture and impair whipping ability.
