Semi-fat curd (white cheese)

🌱 Vegetarian

Description

Semi-fat twaróg, or white cheese with a creamy, dense, slightly moist consistency, has a delicate, mildly tangy flavor and a fresh, snow-white color. It is firmer than low-fat twaróg but less fatty than full-fat cheeses, which allows it to combine creaminess with a slight crumbly texture. Nutritional values include a high content of complete protein, calcium, phosphorus, and B vitamins with a moderate amount of fat, which supports muscle building, bone health, and a feeling of fullness. In the kitchen, it is suitable for sandwich spreads, fillings for dumplings and pancakes, salads, dips, and cheesecakes, as well as an ingredient in baked dishes and casseroles. Store it in the refrigerator in its original packaging or an airtight container at a temperature of 0–4°C, use clean utensils, and consume within a few days after opening; it can be frozen, but the texture may change.
