Pomegranate juice

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Pomegranate juice has an intense, deep red color and a clear consistency, with a flavor that combines pleasant acidity with subtle sweetness and a delicate bitterness from the seeds, giving it a distinctive, refreshing character. The aroma can be fruity-floral, and the taste varies depending on the ripeness of the fruit, ranging from sharper to sweeter. Nutritionally, pomegranate juice is a source of vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, and numerous polyphenols and antioxidants (including punicalagin), which support the cardiovascular system, have anti-inflammatory properties, and aid in cell regeneration; however, it is worth remembering its content of natural sugars. In the kitchen, it pairs perfectly with dressings, marinades, meat glazes, salad sauces, and rice dishes, as well as cocktails and desserts; when reduced, it produces pomegranate molasses. Store the juice chilled in a tightly sealed bottle after opening and use it within a few days, and for longer storage, freezing is suitable.
