Tomato paste (triple)
Description
Tomato paste (triple) is a thick, intensely red puree with a concentrated sweet-and-sour flavor, a distinct umami note, and a rich tomato aroma. Due to its triple concentration, it has a stronger color and taste than regular paste, so a small amount is enough to add depth to dishes. From a nutritional standpoint, it is a source of lycopene—a powerful antioxidant—as well as vitamins A and C and potassium; with low calorie content, it supports heart health and the immune system, acting anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. In the kitchen, it works well as a base for sauces, soups, stews, meat dishes, pizza, chili, and marinades, as well as for thickening and enhancing the color of dishes; add it sparingly and possibly dilute. Store the unopened product in a dry, cool place; after opening, transfer it to a glass or other non-oxidizing container, seal tightly, and keep in the refrigerator, using it within 5–7 days, or portion and freeze for longer storage.
