Sarepska mustard
Description
Sarepska mustard is a classic Polish mustard with a light brown, smooth consistency and a distinct, slightly peppery aroma with a delicate hint of sour vinegar-wine-honey sweetness. The taste is moderately sharp and lasting, spicier than mild table mustards but milder than hot seeds. In terms of nutrition, it is low-calorie and low-fat, providing small amounts of minerals (sodium, magnesium, selenium) and sulfur compounds with potential anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties; consumed in moderation, it may support digestion and metabolism. In the kitchen, it works well as an addition to cold cuts, sausages, hot dogs, dressings, marinades, and glazes for meats, as well as an ingredient in yellow sauces and curry. It also pairs well with potato salads and sandwiches, enhancing the flavor of dishes without overpowering them. Store in a cool place before opening; after opening, keep the tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator and use within a few months, avoiding the use of dirty spoons.
