Description

Semi-fat cottage cheese is a white, slightly grainy cheese with a creamy consistency and a mild, slightly tangy flavor. Once ground, it becomes smooth and easy to spread while maintaining a subtle cheese structure that blends well with other ingredients. From a nutritional standpoint, it is an excellent source of high-quality protein (about 12–18 g/100 g), contains a moderate amount of fat (usually 6–12%), is a good source of calcium and B vitamins, and has a relatively low carbohydrate content, which supports muscle building, a feeling of fullness, and bone health. In the kitchen, it serves universally as a base for spreads, filling for dumplings and pancakes, an ingredient in cheesecakes, fritters, or sauces and salads, as well as an addition to sweet desserts with fruits and honey.
