Liquid honey
Description
Liquid honey is a clear, golden or amber liquid with a sweet, multidimensional flavor depending on the nectar (flower, heather, multifloral), with delicate floral aromas and subtle acidity. It has a smooth, viscous consistency that spreads easily and shines on the surface of dishes. Nutritionally, liquid honey mainly provides easily digestible sugars — glucose and fructose — as well as trace amounts of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, is used for sore throats, and serves as a quick source of energy, but it is not recommended for infants under 1 year of age. In the kitchen, it works great as a natural sweetener for tea, yogurt, or baked goods, for glazing meats, dressings, and desserts, and as an addition to cheeses. It should be stored in a dry, dark place in a tightly sealed jar at room temperature; crystallization is natural — it can be reversed by gently heating in a water bath, avoiding the microwave.
